In the first round of the Champions League 2015/2016 Manchester City meets Juventus.
This seems like a very strong and interesting match. The finalist from the previous edition of the tournament will try to continue its good performance. Juventus has strong traditions in this tournament. They are one of the most prominent representatives of Italian football and definitely have something to expect and purpose to continue as far as forward. The citizens are identifiable as one of the favorites this season.
Their previous attempts to break through in Champions League have not proved very successful, although they have some remarkable results after elimination of strong contenders along the way. In their latest performance in this tournament last year they have won only one of their home matches. They are in top form now after the start in the new season in England without mistake.
Manuel Pellegrini, Manchester City manager:
“We are not thinking about where we can get to in the Champions League this year, we are just thinking about winning against Juventus tomorrow and trying to qualify. I think we have a lot of problems with different players but I have 100% trust in the squad we choose.”
Massimiliano Allegri, Juventus coach:
“City are among the favorites to win the Champions League this year. We will have to play with high intensity, be brave and very technical in our approach.”

Both teams have some very important players missing. For Manchester City Sergio Aguero as most important for Blues is with a knee injury. No suspended players in both teams and all are available to their coaches.
Raheem Sterling and David Silva have returned to training on Monday and are on line. The new signing Kevin De Bruyne may now be in the team and make his debut. The summer transfer from Chelsea Juan Cuadrado is ready and can be included in the game. He has already shown his strength in the match for Juventus.
